What is the QR Code Generator?

The QR Code Generator turns a URL, text, phone number, email, SMS, Wi-Fi credential or contact card into a scannable QR code you can download as PNG or SVG. Customise size, colors and error-correction level to fit posters, menus, cards or packaging.

A QR code stores the selected data directly in its pattern. Error correction adds redundancy so the code may remain readable when printed imperfectly or partly obscured, although higher levels also make the pattern denser.

Encoding happens locally on an HTML5 canvas, so private links never reach a server. The generated code is static: changing a destination later requires creating and distributing a new code.

How to use the QR Code Generator

  1. 1Pick the data type to encode (URL, text, Wi-Fi, contact, etc.).
  2. 2Fill in the required fields.
  3. 3Choose size, colors and error-correction level.
  4. 4Preview the code and download as PNG or SVG.

Frequently asked questions

Do the QR codes expire?

No — static QR codes encode the data directly, not a redirect, so they never expire.

Which format should I download?

PNG for digital use, SVG for print — it scales without pixelation.

Can I put a logo in the middle?

Yes — set error correction to "H" and overlay a small logo without breaking the scan.

Why will my QR code not scan?

Ensure strong foreground/background contrast, preserve a clear margin, avoid excessive logo coverage and print it large enough for the encoded data density.

Can I change the destination after download?

Not directly. A static code contains the original value. You would need a new code, or encode a redirect URL that you independently control.
