Discount Calculator
Enter the price and the discount percentage — instantly see how much you save and the final amount you pay.
What is the Discount Calculator?
The Discount Calculator turns a marked price and a discount percentage into your exact savings and final price. Add an optional tax percentage (GST, VAT, sales tax) to see the tax component and the bill-ready total.
The result separates the amount saved, discounted subtotal, tax and final amount. That breakdown is more useful than a single total when you need to compare two promotions or verify that a receipt applied the advertised reduction correctly.
Tax is applied after the discount — matching how most retail bills work. The calculator is currency-neutral, so it can be used with dollars, euros, rupees or any other currency as long as every entered amount uses the same one.

Frequently asked questions
Does the tax apply before or after the discount?
After. The discount reduces the base price, then tax is added to that new base.
Can I calculate stacked discounts?
Apply the first discount, copy the result into the price field, then apply the second.
Is 20% off followed by 10% off the same as 30% off?
No. The second discount applies to the already reduced price. On 100, the two discounts produce 72, which is a combined reduction of 28%.
Can I use this for any currency?
Yes. The formulas do not convert currencies; they simply preserve the unit of the original price. Enter all values in one currency.
